Believe it or not, but one woman in Georgia is claiming that her cat has defied science. She says that her moggie has given birth to a PUPPY, in a labour that lasted two days. While they are not fighting like cats and dogs just yet, she says the pup's tails and ears take after its mother - while the rest of the body is fully canine. Scientists have not ruled out radiation as the reason, but say that any cross species encounter was an unlikely cause. (source)...

Dolphins And Sea Lions To Protect Submarine Base

The US Navy says dolphins and sea lions will stand guard this year at a submarine base to detect any underwater swimmers who might approach the base on Hood Canal.The US Navy is keeping security details secret, but the environmental impact statement for the project said there would be fewer than 20 animals kept in heated enclosures when not on patrol in Washington state. A Six-Legged Deer Discovered

A mutant, six-legged deer was discovered in Everett Springs, Georgia in the US after being viciously attacked by two dogs. The little one has two distinct pelvises and uses one leg from each to walk. It also had two tails but lost one following the attack of the dogs. The veterinarian treating it said the deer’s case is truly abnormal: the legs are part of a twin that didn’t form all the way. It seems to move pretty well, considering the two central legs almost always get in the way....
