1-Month-Old Elephant Has A Ball Playing Soccer

Goooooooal! Well, maybe not, but baby Asian elephant Luk Chai is certainly skilled with a soccer ball. The little guy, born last month at Sydney, Australia’s Taronga Zoo, has taken to playing with the ball lately, charming spectators and fellow elephants alike.

On the baby elephant’s blog last week, zookeepers wrote, “Luk Chai discovered a new toy today — a large soccer ball which the girls in the herd like to play with. He head-butted it around the yard and eventually worked out how to kick it with his foot.” Apparently, he kicked the ball so hard that handlers had to retrieve it for him! Now that’s talent.
